Arrival and Departure times We like to know within an hour or so when you will be arriving. We cannot guarantee always to have the bedrooms prepared and available before 1pm, but we try to do so when told in advance. We ask for rooms to be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure, but guests are welcome to leave luggage downstairs and make use of the downstairs part of the house throughout the day.
Breakfast (a hot and cold buffet) is available when you want it, but we assume guests will come down between 8.15 and 8.45 unless they ask for an early start or a particularly late lie-in.
Evening meals are available every night. On Sundays to Thursdays, at 7.00pm (in winter), we provide home-made soup and a main course and dessert. The cost is £23. On Fridays and Saturdays, at 7.15 for 7.30pm, we offer a more elaborate home-cooked meal (more like a dinner party) with starter, main course, choice of desserts, local cheeseboard and coffee. The cost is £26.50. Meal times are half an hour later in Apr - Oct.
It is helpful to know by the morning of arrival at the latest whether you will want an evening meal that evening. If you have any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, allergies etc), please let us know in advance, and we will do our very best to accommodate them.
Drinks The bar is to be found through the kitchen and utility room, and up a couple of steps. The room also houses the only television set in the house (but it is a big one), and a comfortable sofa on which Zac the cat spends much of his time. We have an interesting and varied wine list.
Smoking Strictly no smoking in any part of the house. You are welcome to make use of the car park or rear garden terrace.
Children and dogs Please get in touch if you are planning to come with children or dogs. Both are welcome. Dogs are restricted to the bar downstairs, where they can sleep; a dog cage is available to borrow. They are not allowed to sleep in the bedrooms.
